  • Next Conference Call
    The NCIP-IG will hold its next monthly conference call on Thursday, Februray 18, at 1:00 pm Eastern time (US). All NCIP-IG calls are open to anyone who wishes to attend. The call information is:

  • Spring Meeting Place and Date Set
    The NCIP-IG Spring meeting is scheduled for April 27-29, 2010 in Syracuse, NY. Polaris will serve as the host for the meeting. The meeting will be held at The Craftsman Inn, 7300 East Genesee Street, Fayetteville, NY 13066. The phone number for the hotel is 315-637-8000. Polaris has arranged for a group rate of $109/night. To get this rate, mention that you are with Polaris Library Systems when you make your reservation.
  • ANSI Approves Request to Move NCIP to Continuous Maintenance
    ANSI has formally approved the request to move NCIP from Period Review to Continuous Maintenance. This
    will enable the NCIP-IG to update NCIP up to twice per year. The procedures the NCIP-IG will follow when reviewing and approving requested changes to NCIP will soon be available at the NISO NCIP Workroom.
  • NCIP featured at LITA National Forum 2009
    Several NCIP-IG members collaborated in giving a talk at the 2009 LITA National Forum. The presentation is summarized in the current edition of NISO's Information Standards Quarterly (ISQ). (Note: NISO membership or subscription to ISQ required to view PDF.)
  • New Website Unveiled
    Although the site is not yet complete, the NCIP-IG has unveiled a new and improved website. The site is easier to maintain than its predecessors, so the NCIP-IG will be able to post more timely and current information. Much of the information from the previous site has been migrated, and that work continues. One of the goals as part of this migration is to better integrate information hosted at the NISO NCIP Workroom.
