Agenda

I.               Implementer updates

TLC – TLC is working on two new implementations (JerseyCat and with Auto-Graphics in Mississippi).  They are also testing with Melcat and with OCLC in Colorado for SWIFT.

Polaris – Polaris is working to get Prospector going in Colorado, and they are beginning to work with a consortium in Utah that is currently using URSA.  Finally, they are working with Relais at several libraries in Maryland.  Most of this work is preliminary testing.

Ex Libris – Ex Libris is working with a customer in Idaho to integrate Voyager with OCLC, and they working to test Alma with Relais.

II.             Other items

NISO Revision Approved: NISO received notification that NCIP 2.02 has been approved by ANSI.  NISO is in the process of preparing a press.

NCIP Implementer Registry: Gray would like to discontinue his financial support for the implementer registry.  Lagace will review with NISO what alternative arrangements can be made (financial support, hosting services, etc.).  Sandstrum has looked into the logistics associated with transferring a Drupal site from one server to another, and from what he has read, it seems that the application would need to be rebuilt on the new server.

III.           Next meetings:

a.     Monthly call – September 20, 2012 @ 1 pm Eastern time (U.S.)

b.     In-person meeting – Oct 9-10, 2012, hosted by Florida Virtual Campus, Tallahassee, FL

Sandstrum and the Florida Virtual Campus are working on logistics for the fall meeting, including hotel arrangements.  Sandstrum will send hotel details to the NCIP list as they become available.  The group estimates approximately 10 attendees.  Lagace has exchanged emails with the co-chairs for the new SIP working group, and it is unlikely that a SIP in-person meeting can be arranged in time to coordinate with the fall NCIP meeting.
