Fall Meeting
- Will plan to hold the fall meeting in Atlanta (hosted by EnvisionWare) October 12-13
Access Meeting in Atlanta in early November
- No one submitted a presentation
Vendor/Implementer Updates
- Innovative Interfaces: Dartmouth and Brown are installed; PALCI wants to wait until end of semester
- Polaris: testing with Innovative InReach, Auto-Graphics, and Relais (version 2); using Accept Item and Lookup Item in v2 now but working on remainder of core set; attempting to work with OCLC. Have noticed some confusion over the use of Accept Item in certain contexts and with certain ILS.
- Ex Libris: testing at PALCI with Relais (version 1) using Aleph. Testing with Voyager with OCLC (version 1).
- Auto-Graphics: testing with Polaris and TLC.
- TLC: working with Auto-Graphics in New Jersey (JerseyCat).
- RapidRadio: have been using version 2 for almost 1 year. want to test outside of India.
- eXtensible Catalog: on-going NIP development on NCIP Toolkit (using version 1 and version 2).
Documentation
- General feedback so far on the Introduction to NCIP and NCIP RFP Writer's Guide has been good. We will accept additional feedback until June 3. At that time, we will decide on the next step for these documents.
Progress of NCIP 2.02 Revision
- Need to know which URI/URL is valid for the NCIP schema
- Walsh to post note to the list about removing Appendix G. This appendix is informative rather than normative, and its usefulness has been superseded by generic search functionality.
- Walsh will fix the misspelling of "invalid" in Appendix A.
NCIP Implementer Registry
- Campbell received the OK to work on this project and has begun work on a revision.
Membership Issues
- eXtensible Catalog may be interested in joining the Standing Committee as a voting member. Cook will talk with others involved in that project.
- Both SirsiDynix and VTLS are failing to meet attendance requirements.
For Additional Discussion
- Should we promote meetings and conference calls to the NCIP general interest list, or should we continue to send the agenda only to the Standing Committee list and publish the call details on the NCIP website?
