Agenda:

I.  Implementer updates -

BorrowDirect - E-ZBorrow implementation for Voyager for the Keystone Libraries ran into an issue with AcceptItem.  There are complications with the way the state system is set up.  There is an inquiry on the Voyager end. All parties are working through it.

Relais  - Working with the E-ZBorrow implementation above.  Working through MARINA implementations in MD

Ex Libris - Contacted by a customer in Mass. about the AutoGraphics SHAREit system.  Talking with AG about integration / evaluation.

TLC - Ongoing implementation with AutoGraphic in MS and NJ.  Continuing testing with OCLC for SWIFT in CO.  Continuing to test with MeLCAT and Innovative Interfaces.  Finishing up MARINA implementation with Relais in MD.

2.  Implementers Registry Update -

During the October meeting the group decided that due to lack of activity we would attempt to export data, then discontinue use. The month ran out before the export happened.  Site has been shut down.  A few emails have been received from folks asking about the shut down site.

Nettie has received some direct inquiries about it as well.  The response at this time is:

We know site is down, we have discontinued it. Currently looking for an alternate site. In the past we provided a series of vendor profiles and are looking for an alternative mechanism. If there are specific questions please contact the vendor directly.”

Kelli with TLC suggested removing the link to the registry from the NCIP site to quell questions.  And consider reposting or making the vendor profiles active elsewhere.

Consideration:

Repost what used to be the section on NCIP.info site that contains vendor profiles.

Legacy profiles should be reviewed by each vendor before being re-posted somewhere else.

Mike to follow up with Rob W. about vendor profiles before next call to see what our options are.

3.  Update on Action Items from October Meeting

Thoughts about what we might do next year

Perhaps having a small schema (substitution groups) and element tags in a different language.

Tony O’Brien and Rob Gray had some action items to follow up on.  As they are not in attendance this will move to next call.

Updating the standard - Mike to follow up with Rob.

4.  Other Items for Discussion

Thoughts about what we might do next year

Perhaps having a small schema (substitution groups) and element tags in a different language.

Nettie presented an Admin item -

While setting up calendar items for all groups next year, the question was posed:

Is the NCIP group happy with 3rd Thurs of month at 1pm EST -

Everyone on the call voted YES.

New calendar to be posted (this has happened)

5.  Next Meetings:

            Monthly conference call - December 20, 2012 @ 1 pm Eastern time

In-person meeting - (TENTATIVE) April 23-24, 2013, hosted by OCLC,

Dublin, Ohio

Will the Dec 20 call be a problem for anyone?

Most are OK with this date / time.
