Agenda
I. Implementer updates
- Polaris: working on completing the testing of recall item and hope to have it available to test soon.
- Auto-Graphics: went live with Warren Co., NJ with TLC but had some trouble with workflow. Working with TLC to tweak some of the messages.
- Relais: continuing to roll-out more installations with III v2 at PALCI. Testing with Voyager has been completed.
- Ex Libris: have not heard from any PALCI sites on the status of their implementations. Have done some testing with OCLC and found some development items to address. Have those scheduled for later this year and plan to do more vendor-to-vendor testing after the first of the year (2012) and hope to have those fixes available for customers mid 2012. Also working with OCLC on some next generation products.
- Rapid Radio: working on v2 since late 2010. Eager to test with other implementations, primarily to see how well the implementation matches the standard.
II. Status of publication of revised documents
- Lagace: completed the formation of voting pools, and are ready to ballot NCIP v.2.01. Had a question about whether the group might prefer to wait until after the fall meeting and incorporate additional revisions. The group, though, decided it would be better to ballot 2.01 now since the revisions could take up to 60 days.
- Lagace: on the chapter on NCIP in the RFP Guide, NISO plans to simply post the new chapter alongside the existing guide and include a note in the existing guide announcing its existence. Walsh agreed to update both this document and the Introduction to NCIP documents and provide valid links to the Implementer Registry.
III. NCIP.info web site
- The group voiced no objection to porting the URL for ncip.info to ncip.weebly.com.
IV. Details about the upcoming in-person meeting
a. Oct 12-13, 2011 - hosted by EnvisionWare
o Details and logistics are posted at ncip.weebly.com. A block of rooms is available at the Hilton Garden Inn and Suites. Walsh and Stewart are planning to play golf either the Tuesday before or the Friday after, and anyone who wants to join them is welcome. Send a note to Walsh.
o The agenda is being formed. Most certainly, we will address the outstanding change requests. NISO reviewed our change request policies and determined that we are OK to review the additional item received from OCLC/XC after the 8/1 deadline. Walsh will post this request to the NISO website.
V. New Business
- Lagace to work with Dicus to send letters to 3M, VTLS, and SirsiDynix about continued membership. Gray reported that (based purely on speculation), Anne Arthur may no longer be at SirsiDynix. We should make an effort to contact Brent Jensen. Also, Jackson indicated that she has had communications regarding NCIP with Colleen Brown at SirsiDynix. She will provide Brown’s contact information to Lagace.
